Portfolio Conferences and Access4you - a Year of Impactful Partnership in 2024

Access4you is proud to reflect on a year marked by collaboration and shared social values with Portfolio Conferences. This year, 25 events have achieved Access4you Certifications, each testifying that the event provides certified and detailed accessibility information about the location.

In 2024, Access4you’s commitment to making the world more inclusive through accessibility information has partially manifested itself in its partnership with Portfolio Conferences, Hungary’s leading industry forum organisers. By working together, we provided platforms that encourage inclusion and accessibility in the events sector as well, inspiring dialogue and action for others in the industry.

Inclusive Conferences in Person

The collaboration did not stop at the audits of event locations and certifications. Access4you’s team has attended various conferences among these, with Tamás Méri - Co-founder and CBDO - joining Sustainable World 2024 as a panelist among other esteemed speakers.

Apart from this, Access4you representatives were guests at several other notable events hosted by Portfolio Conferences throughout the year. These included AI in Business 2024, Gen Z Fest 2024, and the XX. Property Investment Forum where Access4you’s entire board was present.

The Access4you certificate testifies that the building owner prioritizes inclusion and ensures that detailed and reliable accessibility information about the location is available for 8+1 groups with accessibility needs: Wheelchair users; the Elderly and people with limited mobility; the Blind; visually impaired people, the Deaf, the hard of hearing; people with cognitive impairments; people pushing prams; and people with service dogs.

Accessibility and the lack of detailed and reliable information about it are global challenges. This is why Access4you International, founded in 2019, is focusing on its international expansion in 2024. By now, it has assessed 1000 buildings in 23 countries and operates in the CEE, SEE, and India with the help of an accredited partner network. The company's founder, Balázs Berecz, has been using a wheelchair for 15 years.
