Our design audit process

1
Get in contact with our Design AP

Once the contract is signed, the Access4you auditor will contact the building’s architect and/or the client's contact person and request the necessary plans and documentation. If an online building plan-sharing surface is used, the auditor's access must be ensured.

2
Review

The auditor reviews the construction plans and, if necessary, requests additional information or details from the architect or contact person.

3
Assessment spreadsheet

As a first step in the auditing process, the auditor prepares a preliminary assessment spreadsheet in which all built elements are examined based on the information in the design plan. Depending on the complexity of the building, this takes approximately 15-30 business days. The customer will review the preliminary assessment sent. If the auditor finds any shortcomings or missing information, the architect or contact person may supply these in writing.

4
Consultation

Online consultation at this stage is possible to discuss any design issues that may arise.

5
Revision of plan based on recommendations

The architect makes necessary changes and sends the revised plans to the auditor.

6
Evaluation table and audit report

The auditor reviews the missing information in the finalised construction plans. Then, they prepare a finalized assessment table and an audit report and determine the qualification level. In the report, auditors make further recommendations to achieve a higher ranking.

7
Revision of plans for better qualification

If the customer is not satisfied with the qualification achieved, they can modify their plans for a higher ranking. After presenting the alterations, the auditor may revise and change the qualification.

8
Communication of certificate

The client is entitled to display the trademark and certification obtained and use it in any communication until the building is completed.

9
Building audit

Once the building has been completed, Access4you will conduct an on-site audit to determine the final qualification level.

Designing for inclusion is a business decision

"Incorporating accessibility right from the design phase goes beyond social responsibility; it has significant business advantages. By prioritizing inclusivity from the beginning, businesses can save costs, increase the value of their property, and enhance their reputation. I am also delighted to see how our cooperation is changing the mindset of architects and making accessibility a must-have in their work."
